As our young guns prepare for the 2015 Holden Cup Grand Final, take a look back at our 2013 premiership-winning side and discover how their careers have panned out.
LEFT TO RIGHT IN THE ABOVE PHOTO
Second Row: Bryce Cartwright. Made his NRL debut in 2014, played a leading role for the Panthers in 2015 and is contracted to the club until the end of the 2018 season.
Coach: Garth Brennan. Coached the Panthers NSW Cup team to the premiership in 2014 and his side finished the 2015 regular season in equal first place.
Wing: George Jennings. An elbow injury at the 2014 Auckland Nines ended his season before it began, but he bounced back to score a try on NRL debut in the Panthers opening game of the 2015 season.
Lock: Michael Ross. Left the Panthers in 2014 and now plays rugby union for Eastern Suburbs.
Prop: Andy Saunders. Captained the 2014 Panthers NYC side before stepping up to the NSW Cup squad for their successful finals campaign that year. A reliable performer for the NSW Cup side again in 2015.
Interchange: Brendan Attwood. Played for the Panthers NYC side in 2014 before featuring for the NSW Cup team in 2015.
Interchange: Tekina Vailea. Represented Wyong Roos in the 2014 NSW Cup competition before making the switch to Illawarra Steelers in 2015.
Centre: Waqa Blake. Started the 2014 season playing for the Panthers NYC side but stepped up into NSW Cup and scored a try in their Grand Final victory. Made his NRL debut in Round 5 of the 2015 season and is contracted to the Panthers until the end of 2017.
Prop: Reagan Campbell-Gillard. He played the 2014 season with the premiership-winning NSW Cup side and made his NRL debut in the first game of 2015, before going on to play all 26 regular season games for the Panthers.
Halfback: Daniel Foster. He played for Tonga at the 2013 Rugby League World Cup and represented the Panthers NSW Cup side in 2014 and 2015.
Five-eighth: Doug Hewitt. Headed north in 2014, trialled with North Queensland Cowboys but ended up in the halves for Mackay Cutters. He switched allegiances to the Tweed Heads Seagulls in 2015.
Wing: Dallin Watene-Zelezniak. Played for the Panthers NSW Cup side at the start of 2014, made his NRL debut in Round Five, and went on to play 10 matches in the top grade that season. A collapsed lung ended his 2015 season after an impressive start to the year.
Interchange: Isaah Yeo. Made the step up for his NRL debut in the first round of the 2014 season and went on to play 10 NRL games that year. A reliable and versatile performer in the Panthers' injury-ravaged 2015 season.
Hooker: Kierran Moseley. Was a member of the premiership-winning NSW Cup side in 2014 and made his NRL debut in Round 25. However with Api Koroisau joining the Panthers in 2015, Moseley signed a two-year deal with Gold Coast Titans.
Centre: James Roberts. Was released by the Panthers at the start of the 2014 season and quickly snapped up by Gold Coast Titans. After an indifferent first year on the Gold Coast, he found top form in 2015 and was named Dally M Centre of the Year.
Interchange: Mitch Clark. Left the Panthers at the end of 2014 to join second-tier UK outfit Doncaster Rovers, where he will play again in 2016.
Fullback: Kieran Moss. A member of the Panthers premiership-winning NSW Cup side in 2014, injury largely ruined his 2015 season and he will join Parramatta Eels on a one-year deal in 2016.
Second Row: James Dunley. Headed to the Queensland Cup and made his debut for the Burleigh Bears in 2014, but struggled to earn a spot in the starting side in 2015.
