The Panthers tackle Illawarra Steelers on Saturday with a spot in the Grand Final of the inaugural Tarsha Gale Cup up for grabs.

The club's first-ever female side earned their place in the Preliminary Final of the competition after dispatching Parramatta last weekend.

Cassie Ormsby scored four tries and Emily Perring bagged three in the impressive 44-12 thumping at UOW Jubilee Oval.

Illawarra, who finished second on the table in the regular season, progressed directly to the Preliminary Final following a tight 26-20 victory over Cronulla in week one of the finals.
