Panthers centre Dean Whare is facing time on the sideline after tearing his hamstring in the win over Parramatta last Thursday.
Scans on Friday showed Whare suffered a grade two hamstring tear in the 16-10 victory at Bankwest Stadium.
The injury will put the 29-year-old New Zealand international out of action for up to six weeks.
The timing couldn't be worse for Panthers, with fellow centre Waqa Blake suffering a knee injury in the same game which will see him sidelined for up to 10 weeks.
The double blow leaves Panthers without a fit specialist centre on the club's top 30 list.
Panthers coach Ivan Cleary will reveal his plans on Tuesday when he names his side to face Manly Sea Eagles at Panthers Stadium.
