Panthers raises $40k for Rugby League community

The annual Panthers Sportsman's Lunch at Panthers Penrith Leagues Club has seen the club raise more than $40,000 for the wider Rugby League community.

The charity event concluded with the club making a $20,000 donation to the Men of League Foundation, and $10,000 donations to Gilgandra Rugby League and Coonamble Rugby League respectively.

"Panthers is delighted to make these significant donations to three worthy Rugby League organisations who will put the money to good use," Panthers Chairman Dave O'Neill said.

"We extend our sincere thanks to all those who contributed to the success of the Panthers Sportsman's Lunch in 2019."

Hosted by Fox League presenter Yvonne Sampson, the Panthers Sportsman's Lunch was headlined by NRL CEO Todd Greenberg and Panthers Hall of Fame inductee Greg Alexander.

The generous donations come only days after Panthers announced the commencement of a formal partnership with the Men of League Foundation, to help raise awareness and assist with the delivery of wellbeing projects.
