Penrith Panthers is pleased to announce the re-signing of Soni Luke on a two-year deal.
The contract extension will see the hooker remain at the Panthers until at least the end of the 2025 season.
“I’m stoked to be staying at the Panthers for another two seasons. My family and I love it here so I’m glad to have it all sorted,” Luke said.
“I grew up in the local area – I played all my junior footy here. I’m just stoked that the club wants to have me on for a couple more years. My family and I are heaps grateful.”
A St Marys junior, Luke progressed through the Panthers development system and was a member of the premiership-winning Panthers NYC side in 2015.
The 27-year-old made his first grade debut against the Raiders in Round 7 last year, and has totalled 15 NRL games.
Luke was also a key cog in the NSW Cup’s 2022 premiership-winning side, and he played five Tests for Tonga last year.
"We’re pleased to have Soni commit to Panthers for the next two seasons," Panthers Rugby League CEO Matt Cameron said.
“Soni made his NRL debut last year and he has taken the opportunity to play in the NRL with both hands.
“It’s always rewarding to see another local junior progress his rugby league career at the club.”
