Penrith Panthers is thrilled to announce the re-signing of 23-year-old prop Lindsay Smith.
Already contracted with the club for the 2024 NRL season, Smith has signed a two-year upgrade which will see him remain in Panthers colours until the end of 2026.
A St Marys junior, Smith joined the Panthers pathways program at the age of 14 through the club’s Junior Elite Training Scheme.
The former Australian Schoolboys representative made his NRL debut for the Panthers in 2021, and has gone on to play 25 first grade games.
“It’s pretty special to re-sign with the club, especially being a local junior,” Smith said.
“To be a part of this group for the next few years is very exciting and something I am looking forward to.”
Panthers Rugby League CEO Matt Cameron congratulated Smith on his contract upgrade.
“Lindsay developed through the Panthers system and we’re excited to see him remain with the club for another two seasons,” Cameron said.
“Panthers prides itself on the built from within mantra and it’s always rewarding to see a local junior commit his future to the club.”
