Martin cops dangerous contact charge

Panthers forward Liam Martin has been charged with dangerous contact by the NRL Match Review Committee following Friday night’s win against Parramatta.

Martin received a grade two charge for contact on Eels halfback Daejarn Asi in the 61st minute of the Round 23 clash and faces a one week suspension with the early guilty plea.

The representative forward will miss Thursday night's match against the Storm if he accepts the early guilty plea, or can risk a two game ban if he challenges the charge at the judiciary.
