The Panthers are hopeful a trip north will kickstart their season as they prepare to take on an upbeat Dolphins side.

The Dolphins are riding high after a dominant victory over the Titans last weekend and they're striving to make it two in a row on Thursday night.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and winger Isaiya Katoa will again be central to their chances as they look to topple the defending premiers.

The fullback starred in last week's win over the Titans and history shows he's at his best against the Panthers. Tabuai-Fidow has scored four tries in his last three games against the reigning premiers.

It's been a challenging start to the year for Penrith, Ivan Cleary's men losing four in a row for the first time since 2019.

Co-captains Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo will have to dig deep into their bag of tricks to help turn the season around and lead the Panthers to their first victory since a Round 1 win over the Sharks in Las Vegas.

Penrith have had plenty of success at Suncorp Stadium in recent years, winning nine of their last ten and they will hope the trend continues this weekend.

Team News

Dolphins: The Dolphins are 1-17 with no late changes. Skipper Tom Gilbert is back from suspension in the second row so Max Plath moves to lock, Felise Kaufusi to prop and Mark Nicholls to the bench. Ray Stone has been suspended for one game for a Careless High Tackle. Sean O'Sullivan is 18th man.

Panthers: Isaiah Papali'i will start the game and Lindsay Smith goes to the bench in a late switch an hour before kick-off. Fullback Dylan Edwards is back on deck after missing three games with a groin injury. Back-rower Scott Sorensen (concussion) also returns but Mitch Kenny (shoulder) and five-eighth Jack Cole (head knock) are out. Former Eel Blaize Talagi comes in at five-eighth while Luke Sommerton is the new hooker.
